In 2006? Geez, how old are you?
This was the first class on blogging offered by the local economic development folks, and we were holding our breath a bit.
The class filled right away. Most encouraging was the way these entrepreneurs threw off the “blog because it’s hot” hogwash and got right into “blog if it makes sense for your business” thinking.
I should write a post.

Yes, 2006. Some of us have been blogging since the “old” pre-Google “Blogger” a.k.a.Pyra Labs/Blogspot.
It’s probably time for me to do it again, don’t you think?

I should’ve signed up. It’s funny… I’m back in business and the rest of the work is chugging right along, but I’m having a tough time getting back into the blogging rhythm/mindset.

Carson: The Copywriter Underground isn’t as active as it used to be, but I’m keeping plenty busy elsewhere.

It is so easy to blog, I don’t know why everybody doesn’t do it. It can relieve stress and be great advertising for writers.

Jacob: These aren’t writers, they run small businesses. Blogging is a marketing tool, and perhaps not the right one for many of them.
A chunk of the class was devoted to why businesses shouldn’t blog, so these entrepreneurs could make informed decisions.

Jacob: “It’s so easy to blog” I disagree. If blogging is so easy why such the high blog abandonment rate?
Blogging might *appear* easy to do. The tools make it easy to post, for example. But, it’s much harder to do *well* e.g. with consistency, regularity and purpose.
There’s nothing worse (from a marketing standpoint) than a blog that has gone dark.
